PLAYER ORDERS

Each player submission will consist of at least one turn sheet (or set of sheets) that will have the following maximum number of orders on it. The turnsheets, which you should have been supplied with, consist of a Construction Sheet to execute all your builds and fleet-to-fleet movements upon, a Movement sheet with twenty movement slots on it and a GM Messages / Misc. Sheet which is used for any messages to other players, to the GM, for the newsletter and in renaming your planets and fleets. You should also be provided with a basic Mapping Sheet that you will need to make copies of for your own records should you wish to use it and some Ship Design Sheets which have been provided to make the task of designing ships a little easier.

Each turn submission (set of sheets) will consist of a maximum of 20 Build/upgrade orders and a maximum of 20 movement orders. You may submit a second set of sheets per turn, but you will be charged accordingly for this. The format of the orders may be found under the sections ships orders and building. No player may submit more than eight sets of sheets between production runs, giving a maximum expenditure of eight turns per "month".

Build orders can consist of multiple builds of a single item, but you must have the required material and credits present when you give the order. Scout ships may be built and used on the same turn, all other ships will be ready on the next turn.
The processing order of the sheets can be determined by your own option, but the default method of processing is as follows:-

* All fleet-to-fleet movements are undertaken first.

* All fleet movements (and resulting combats, etc) are undertaken.

* All builds are then undertaken.

Though this is the standard processing method, there will be time when you want to do this differently. For example, you need to build a few Scout craft and use them immediately, or need to build and load fighters onto your Carriers before moving the fleet. If this is the case then just let the GM know how you want your orders processing. You must be clear about this, and cannot have half of one sort of orders done, half of another, then back to the first again. You must clearly state at the top of the movement/construction sheets if you want the processing order changed. Please remember that if you want the builds done first, then all of the builds will be done before any movement; you cannot use materials that have been conveyed during your movement orders in this builds!

All naming and design orders do NOT count against order totals.

Try to make use of the GM/Misc. sheet if you can, particularly when trying to contact other players. We much prefer succinct messages, either Private or Newsletter, written on this than sent on separate diplo cards. To ensure that messages sent this way are sent to the correct place, please head them as PRIVATE or NEWSLETTER. All PRIVATE messages should include the name of the race and, if possible, the player number.

COSTS

Each set of turnsheets (One Construction sheet of up to twenty builds & one Movement sheet of up to 20 moves) costs stlg2.50. You may submit one or two sets of turnsheets up to eight times a month. Minimum requirements are one set of turnsheet per month. No more than five new ship designs are allowed on any one submission.

If a player does not submit a set of turnsheets in a given month, then he will be charged 2.50 pounds sterling once the production run is completed, otherwise the production run will be free. No submissions for a second consecutive month will generally result in the removal of the player from the position.

PLAYER START-UP POSITION

You will receive a start position on a single planet at a star somewhere on the galactic map. There will most likely be no other inhabited planets within a three sectors range. You will also receive a star map of the local area and a star survey of your own star. Your Home world will be stocked with a supply of raw materials and you will have a stockpile of Con to build with. Beware of using this stockpile too quickly. You will find that you need large amounts of resources to colonise other planets. It is wise to colonise other planets, since trade can boost your income considerably. You can trade with aliens or other players but most trade will be between your own colonies.

You will also start off with a small merchant fleet and an even smaller Colonial fleet combined into a fleet in your shipyard. You must submit your required design for these vessels on turn 1 if you want them to be changed from the default. The Colonial Transport and Freighter have a default design at the start, which you may use if you so wish, but from then on you will retain this design. On this very first turn only, you may submit up to ten ship design sheets if you so wish, with a maximum of five sheets being applied to later turns.

There will be a production turn at the end of each turn period. You may submit up to eight turns during the month then you will receive a Status report showing the current state of your empire after the Production Run. The number of turns you submit is up to you but at the end of each period you will get a production turn.

If we have a turn of yours waiting to be processed, then the production turn will be sent out WITH the current turn. If there is no turn waiting to be processed, then the production turn will be dispatched as soon as the run is made.
